Dr. Bhavesh Patel hoisted the National Flag today. He said that this Independence Day is celebrated as " Aazadi ka Amrut Mahotsav". Recognising the contribution of healthcare workers in these pandemic times, he also shared that in India, right now, there are two soldiers fighting - one at the border and others who are health care professionals and saving millions of lives during this pandemic.

View MoreBankers Nursing Institute inducts new batches of nursing students in their 14th year. Bankers Nursing Institute welcomed their new students for 3rd batch of BSc.Nursing, 14th batch of GNM & 7th batch of ANM. The students were inducted into the programs by undertaking the Nightingale Oath and lighting a symbolic candle in reverence to Florence Nightingale at the Bankers Nursing Institute campus,Mahuvad Padra on 31st March, 2023. The event was graced by Chief Guests – Mr Mukeshji Purohit (CEO and Managing Director of Advance Group) ,and Mrs Ushaji Purohit, Guest of Honour – Mr Jonils Macwan (Sr. Nursing Suprintendent ,Indian Western Railway,Vadodara -National Florence Nightingale award Winner -2021) , Dr Darshan Banker, Dr Parul Banker and Mr Jignesh Patel. There was a cultural programme where current students performed various dances such as - Welcome dance Shubharambh, solo Bharatnatyam performance, Timlo, Group dance and a mime dance on Save Water. A prize distribution ceremony was also held to distribute medals and certificate for academic excellence to B. sc Nursing, GNM and ANM program rank holders. Students who had participated in intra and inter college sports competitions were also appreciated.
Chief Guests – Mrs and Mr Purohit shared a few words to motivate and inspire the students. They made a special mention at the selflessness of the students to choose a noble and difficult profession such as nursing that requires complete dedication to society and patients. Mr Jonils Macwan also shared his valuable insights ,a very inspirational message to the students.
Dr Parul Banker addressed the students and congratulated them on their decision to choose this noble and noteworthy social profession , and highlighted important achievements of Bankers Nursing Institute as well. The institute has achieved 100% pass record for all batches till date and nurses graduating from here are considered to be of much higher caliber providing them with the opportunity to get lucrative jobs in India as well as abroad in the Gulf, Eastern Europe, and South East Asia etc. she also appreciated great efforts by Principle Senjal madam and all faculty members.
This year the numbers of students instated are 108 in total.
The event ended with students appreciating the efforts of management and faculty to help graduates begin their professional journey with strong academic, theoretical and practical knowledge.
On the occasion of World Heart Day, students of Bankers Nursing Institute organized an exhibition as well as an awareness rally at Sadhi village. We hope to consistently bring about more awareness and education about heart diseases in our society and use our knowledge to positively impact citizens's health

This year, there is a very relevant theme on the occasion of the 7th International yoga day- "Yoga for wellness”. In this pandemic, individual or society is not only affected physically but there is also an impact on mental health with grief, losses and restrictions.
Yoga can come to the help of people dealing with such crisis and help them to recover from the psychosocial impact.

View MoreThe lamp lighting ceremony, held as a tribute to Florence Nightingale – “The Lady with the Lamp”, is an auspicious occasion in every nurse’s life. The lamp lighting ceremony and the oath taking ceremony formally declares the student’s desire as well as their entry into the nursing profession.
The ceremony for the 11th batch of GNM and 4th batch of ANM students of Banker Nursing Institute was held on 8th March 2020.
The Programme's chief guest was Mrs. Sandhya Singh Gahlaut, Guest of Honor - Shri Anupam Singh Gahlaut, Commissioner of Vadodara City Police. Star guest Dr. Dhrumit Gohil and other esteemed invitees from the Institute and Hospital.
The Chief Guest and Guest of honor in their address spoke about the importance of Nurses, in the life of every human being. A profession like nursing means the selfless service of caring, loving and sharing.
Dr. Darshan Banker, Director and Dr. Parul Banker, Medical Director, Bankers Group of Hospitals and Nursing Institute also addressed the attendees.
On the same day, it was the farewell ceremony for the graduating students of 10th batch GNM and 3rd Batch of ANM. Students were felicitated with a certificate for their excellence in academic performance in the GNC examination. The programme ended with an enthralling cultural show performed by Students.
On 26th January Sunday, 2020, We have launched “Clean Vadodara” Initiative- ‘Bags on Wheels’ at Corporation Ground, Akota, Vadodara .Bankers Group of Hospitals and Yash Public Charitable Trust as a part of their CSR activity and more importantly to contribute towards the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” that our Prime Minister has initiated, took up this initiative to distribute free trash bags to rickshaws.
Some of the highlights of the programme –
• Distribution of Trash bags to 300 auto drivers, our goal is to cover 3000 auto rickshaws as our ongoing project.
• Conducted CPR training for auto drivers.
• Distribution of free cardiac check up pass for auto drivers & their spouse to be availed at any of our 3 hospitals
• Felicitation of 12 Swachhta Karamcharies representing the 12 wards of VMC.
• Felicitation of medical fraternity as a whole.
This is our humble endeavor and our march towards making Vadodara a "Smart City".

View MoreOn Wednesday, 24th July, Bankers Group of Hospitals team, as well as hundred of volunteers, gathered at New VIP road (Rajivnagar STP) to kickstart an ambitious project-“ TREE PLANTATION DRIVE” organized by the hospital group, to plant 1000 tree saplings in an effort to replenish the city's dwindling green cover.
The Bankers Group of Hospitals has been involved in beautifying and enhancing the green cover of our city since the last many years. In their Dil Se rally, they had distributed over 20,000 saplings across the city for plantation. They also actively maintained and enhanced the circle and road stretch near Bankers Heart Institute , OP Road. Bankers Group continues to maintain and beautify Warasia road stretching upto 4 kms (sangam cross road karelibaug to mahavir hall cross road).
A nature lover and an award winning gardening enthusiast herself, Dr Parul Banker says, "In the past few years, the city has lost so many of its trees due to various infrastructural factors. We dreamt of reviving the beautiful green cover that existed when we were growing up. This year, temperatures have reached to new highs and we are suffering from low rainfall. It is the time to act if we want to help reverse or minimize the consequences of global warming.
I am so thankful to my excellent team, who have strategized, planned and executed this project and our doctor friends, well wishers, who have come out in full support of our drive. I am sure together we all can make a huge difference and increase the number of trees in our beautiful, little city." We are very thankful to Vadodara Mahanagar Palika for providing us the land for plantation and Social Forestry Department,Vadodara range for their support in providing us the saplings.
Our Chief Guest Honorable Mayorshri Dr.Jigishaben Sheth kicked off the event by planting the 1st Sapling.She also addressed the audience with the importance of planting trees in saving our environment.Mr.Yusuf Pathan also graced the event by actively taking part in the tree plantation.
We observed a 1 minute silence in respect of the martyred soldier from Vadodara Mohammed.Arif Pathan.
Dr Darshan Banker led a pledge declaring- "I vow to plant and care for atleast 1 sapling a year. I vow to inspire others to nurture plants and trees and care for them as essential parts of our environment and make Mother Earth more beautiful and sustainable".

The drive oversaw the planting of 1000 saplings dedicated to the participant’s name. Caps bearing the slogan, 'Save Mother Earth' were distributed to all. A lively atmosphere was created with a cultural program by the students of Bankers Nursing Institute .The inspirational drive saw many eminent Barodians, doctors, young students as well as professionals taking part in this noble cause towards conserving our environment.
Sports is an integral part of mental development and studies show it positively impacts studies. It's more important for girls and women to continue sports throughout their lifetime to ensure optimum fitness and health for their later life.
Bankers Nursing Institute tried to inculcate these healthy habits for our students on the ocassion of International Women's Day.
We had games like three legged race, kho-kho, running race etc. Both boys and girls participated in these games and activities. Over 165 students took an active part in the day's program.
Bankers Nursing Institute celebrated the graduation of our 7th batch of General Nursing and Midwifery students on January 26th, 2019 with a candle lighting ceremony and swearing of the Nightingale oath.

The chief guests for the evening were eminent citizens Dr.Kiran Shah,renowned physician & Dr.Smriti Shah renowned Anesthetist .This year’s Candle Lighting Ceremony coincided with Republic Day. As nurses, they dedicate their lives to the service of people. In a similar fashion, Dr. Parul Banker,Managing Trustee , urged everyone to do their own bit for the benefit of our nation. She praised the students’ work and efforts while studying at Bankers Nursing Institute and urged them to continue the good work in their professional lives as well. Her address to the new batch of students for both GNM and ANM was motivating and charged them to take up the course with energy and vigour.
The tricolour was unfurled at Bankers Nursing Institute and the students, teachers, staff and guests all sang the national anthem and patriotic songs.
Bankers Nursing Institute is spread over 7200 sq meters. They have secured 100% results from the first batch onwards. The institute inducted their 10th batch of GNM students and their 3rd batch of ANM students today, as well.
BNI has hostel facilities, canteen as well as a well-equipped laboratory. Students are encouraged to participate in competitions, spread knowledge and educate fellow citizens while excelling at their studies. Courses include those for educating paramedical personnel, technical staff along with nursing degrees and diplomas.
An important part of Nursing curriculum is dietary needs and knowledge. For our ANM and GNM students to have a more practical experience, we organized a cookery presentation on 6th July.
Student groups made different food items and calculated their vitamins, minerals and calorie content. This breakdown will help them in their professional career to decide the diet plans and restrictions for patients with specific ailments.
First Aid is the most important aspect of nursing and we are thankful to the 108 Ambulance Team, who held a demonstration of the same for our nursing students.
Students were briefed and given a practical guide to both - emergency and first aid procedures. A well organized, very informative and very important session for our nurses in training.

This year, the ceremony was extra special as it was also the beginning of the orientation program for the 8th batch of General Nursing and Midwifery(GNM) students and 1st batch of Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery(ANM) students.
Nursing students take the Nightingale pledge, named after Florence Nightingale who pioneered modern nursing, as the first step to nursing with the promise of serving mankind with kindness and sincerity. Lighting a candle is also an ode to Nightingale as she would work tirelessly through the night attending to wounded soldiers during the war with a lamp, earning her the name 'Lady with the Lamp'.
This lovely ceremony marked the beginning of the journey of our 49 students into the Nursing profession. It also initiated our new students into the world of nursing.
The Chief Guests for the day, Dr.Jayesh Tripathi, Mrs.Darshana Tripathi and Mrs.Rashmi Sharma gave an encouraging speech to the students and praised them for selecting a career that is dedicated to helping those in need.

Bankers Group conducted a very successful only-Women camps to celebrate International Women's Day on 8th March, 2017 at Bankers Nursing Institute. The timings for the camp were from 9 AM - 1 PM.
More than 450 women from rural areas attended both the program which concentrated on General Women's Health and on hygiene.
Dr Parul Banker inaugurated the camp and gave the key note address to all ladies present. She emphasised that the camp was one step from Bankers Group towards creating a healthier nation. She urged the ladies to spread the information that they learnt to others around them with the hope that if each one teaches another one about the importance of health, sanitation and hygiene we will steadily walk towards becoming a nation which has a well informed society with better preventative care.
The Guests of Honour included Smt Tejalben Amin, Dr Padma Iyengar, Smt Minuben Hirode, Smt Amishiben Shah, Smt Vaishaliben Sheth and Smt Kailashben Gopalsinh Jadhav. Each of our Guests of Honour gave an inspiring speech, Specially addressing rural women, to motivate them to spread their knowledge and follow their dreams.
Participants of the camp underwent tests to assess their health and met with a consultant to further discuss the course of treatment. A health talk was also conducted to bring awareness regarding mosquito borne and lifestyle diseases. A special role play was organized on Beti Bachao. To further social causes, a detailed talk was also held on Child Labour, Addiction Issues, Family Planning, Contraception etc.
There was also a special talking keeping in mind the Swachata Abhiyan mission where the importance of cleanliness and hygiene were discussed. Women were made aware of the importance of sanitation to prevent diseases like Cholera, Typhoid, Diarrhoea, Skin diseases and so on. Along with this, emphasis was also laid on identifying mosquito borne diseases and the course of treatment for the same.
At the end, women celebrated the end of a successful health camp with Garba, music and dance.
Bankers Group also organized another General Health Check up camp, in association with IOCL at Koyli where 350 ladies from nearby areas benefited from various tests, consultations and talks regarding women's health.
Bankers Group conducts health check up camps, exclusively for women on the occasion of Women's day as they believe that women are the true architects of our society and have the power to drive and influence change, especially positive change.
As part of their education to learn more about healthy, nutritious food, Bankers Nursing Institute First Year ANM and GNM students presented their cooking skills. They also spoke about their nutritious values and learnt about appropriate diets for patients with restrictions.
